I really want to give up smoking, and have tried numerous times, without any luck.  I have been hearing about a self help book, by alan carr, which appentarly has helped lots of people give up.  I'm pretty sceptical of most self help books, but it this really does help, i'm willing to give it a go.

Has anybody on here read it and given up smoking?

Good for you! Go for it! You have taken the first big step which is the desire to stop. I haven't read the book but I can imagine it has a lot of good ideas. When you say you are sceptical of self help books you are probably right. When I quite many years ago I went to a hypnotist. Now I don't believe in hypnotism, but the man was a true professional and I followed his advice and got over the habit. Habit...that was the key word. He convinced me it wasn't a physical addiction but only a habit to be broken. Or did he hypnotize me into believeing it? hummm.  Whatever the case I wish you luck and success. Maybe considering this will help: Smokers kisses don't taste so good.  lol.

Good luck
y un abrazo a la distancia
